As described in Nitzberg et al, particles retained on 500um sieves post-wet peroxide oxidation and density separation with saturated sodium chloride were analyzed via Fourier Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) with Attenuated total reflectance (ATR) or tranmittance.
