This is a partnership between NOAA Ocean and Atmospheric Research (Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research (OAR)) through the Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory (Atlantic Oceanographic & Meteorological Laboratory (AOML)) and Integrated Ocean Observing System (IOOS) regional associations such as Mid-Atlantic Regional Association Coastal Ocean Observing System (MARACOOS), Southeast Coastal Ocean Observing Regional Association (SECOORA), Caribbean Coastal Ocean Observing System (CariCOOS) and institutions including the University of Puerto Rico, University of the Virgin Islands, Skidaway Institute of Oceanography, University of Delaware, and Rutgers University. The goal of the project is to provide realtime data for ocean model validation and assimilation throughout hurricane season. This project is supported by the Disaster Recovery Act. The glider was deployed out of Lewes, DE and will transect offshore to the shelf break, south along the break then back toward Lewes DE, with an inshore point at about 28 meters depth. This real-time dataset contains Conductivity, Temperature, Depth (CTD) measurements from an RBR instrument inductive CTD. cdm_data_type = TrajectoryProfile VARIABLES: wmo_id trajectory (Trajectory/Deployment Name) time (Profile Center Time, seconds since 1970-01-01T00:00:00Z) latitude (Profile Center Latitude, degrees_north) longitude (Profile Center Longitude, degrees_east) precise_time (M Present Time, seconds since 1970-01-01T00:00:00Z) precise_lat (Latitude, degrees_north) precise_lon (Longitude, degrees_east) commanded_alt_time (C Alt Time) commanded_ballast_pumped (C Ballast Pumped, cc) commanded_climb_target_depth (C Climb Target Depth) commanded_dive_target_depth (C Dive Target Depth) commanded_heading (C Heading, rad) ...
